NAIROBI,Kenya – Civil society organizations and grassroots actors convened for a final strategic meeting to formalize a consortium aimed at strengthening youth participation in governance, democracy, and electoral processes.
Convened by Civic Voice, the meeting marked a significant milestone in a collaborative process that has brought together diverse stakeholders committed to advancing meaningful youth engagement in public affairs. The session focused on finalizing the consortium’s working framework and refining the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), laying the foundation for a coordinated and sustainable platform for collective action.
The proposed consortium seeks to address longstanding barriers that limit young people’s participation in governance and decision-making. Through joint advocacy, civic education, policy engagement, and movement building, the platform aims to amplify youth voices and create opportunities for young people to actively influence the policies and processes that shape their lives.
